Our Learn to Sail Philosophy
Our Learn to Sail Philosophy
Fremantle Sailing Club invites the all community and visitors to learn to sail off our beautiful coastal waters. Whether you're learning to sail for the first time, or looking to get back into our wonderful sport, we offer a range of Sailing courses for all ages.
Sailing is a sport for life, while sometimes done individually or with a group, our world-class sailing coaches encourage teamwork, leadership, initiative, resilience, self-worth and environmental awareness. As a sport with many dimensions, our sailing office team can create a pathway for you whether that might be towards high-performance sailing and training with our sailing academy or towards a social pathway where you can make new friendships and enjoy spending time in the outdoors.
At Fremantle Sailing Club, we offer a variety of sailing opportunities with our Club Activity Sections (Dinghy, Inshore, Cruising and Offshore). With a number of weekly sailing events held both in our summer and winter seasons, get out on the water and participate in dinghy racing, twilight sailing (November - April), cruising getaway's and monthly jib & main sails, or thrill-seeking offshore sailing.
The Club also offer sailing programs tailored towards primary and secondary schools and groups in the Fremantle community. To get involved and take the first steps in sailing, enrol in one of our try sailing courses or book a Sailing Experience for your group friends or family.
Our friendly Boating Office team can provide you with more information about our learn to sail courses and the different pathways available once you complete your course. For more information, contact Fremantle Sailing Club today!
