Power Boat Weekly: On the Water & Beyond!
Power Section Valentine Sunset Cruise
FSC members from across many club sections joined the mighty club vessel Success for a 1720 departure up the Swan River to a mooring outside Elizabeth Quay. The theme was Red and White for the Valentine’s Day Sunset Cruise, and all passengers dressed the part.
Our mighty Skipper of Success, Jason steered the ship with skill and aplomb with his able First Mate Martin. The music was pulsing, food and drinks were flowing, and everyone was having a great time.
Nibbles were served as we cruised up the Swan River. Dinner of roast beef and lamb rolls with gravy and salads were a great hit, the meat and salad dishes having been cooked and prepared to perfection by the chefs at Fremantle Sailing Club. Final course of trays of desserts and plenty of fruit if you wished.
After everyone had eaten, the music cranked up. The dancing started on the back deck with the disco light keeping beat to the music. The wind at this stage was barely variable and the city lights stunning on such a balmy night. Venus, Jupiter and the moon all clearly visible making an awesome backdrop to the red and white themed boat.
The cruise back to FSC was fantastic with little wind and of course the music continued. A great night was had by all members. Captain Ozy and his Committee did a great job of organising the event. It is an event to mark on your calendar for next year. You meet lots of new people with similar interests and see some fascinating dance moves!
The next Power Section hosted event for all club members is the Garden Island Family Fun Day on 22nd of March. Registrations are open now. For further details contact the Power Captain & Committee at [email protected]
Remember the next Power Section Meeting is the 13 MARCH and all new members are very welcome.
