The Angling Section caters for all types – from the experienced anglers to those fishers who are just getting a toe-hold in to the recreation which gives so many people so much joy.

Our Section encourages the newcomers to get involved in the competitions where two prizes are on offer each month, and where a humble herring or sand whiting can be as significant as a snapper of dhufish.

We fish competitively, but our species-based competition encourages anglers to land as many different species as possible, not as many of the one type, in a contribution to preserve fish stocks.

Fishing is obviously the backdrop to most things we do, but there is a heavy emphasis on creating an inclusive and fun environment which is evident at the weigh-ins and our end of season presentation dinner. We invite you to explore our section.
