Welcome to the Keelboat Racing Section

Established in 2023 through the unification of the Inshore and Offshore Racing Committees, the Keelboat Racing Section brings together the best of both disciplines under one banner.

Fremantle Sailing Club is one of the most privileged clubs in Australia, offering access to the stunning Indian Ocean. By joining us, you’ll have the opportunity to sail in a world-class location, build new skills, and enjoy the camaraderie of racing alongside teammates and fellow competitors.

The Keelboat Racing Section coordinates a year-round calendar of events, including:

• Inshore (coastal) races, held regularly on Saturday afternoons
• Offshore races, which may run for a full day or overnight
• Destination events to locations such as Exmouth and Indonesia
• The Selden for Sailing Series, a recent addition focused on promoting short-handed sailing

We also run the Racing and Mentorship Program (RAMP), designed to support development and participation at all levels.

The Keelboat Section Committee meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00pm.
