The New 2026–27 Keelboat Sailing Program is Here
A refreshed sailing calendar delivers fewer clashes, better race spacing and new opportunities to grow participation across the club.

The 2026–27 sailing calendar has been streamlined to reduce scheduling conflicts, minimise back-to-back racing, and improve participation across all sailing activities.
Key changes include:
Coastal Cup Series: Removal of the HYC Pot of Gold weekend and reinstatement of the Mike Harvey Trophy on the March long weekend (racing and cruising divisions rallying or racing down), with Rockingham as the destination, making a weekend of this for participants.
Australia Day Race: Rebranded as a Lady Skippers Race, with historic women’s trophies reinstated to encourage female participation.
Inshore Championship Series: Reduced from 7 to 6 races and largely separated from Sunday Series weekends.
Inshore Consistency Series: Reduced from 15 to 12 races.
Success Cup Series: Now incorporates five Cat 4 day races including the West Coaster.
Overall, the changes aim to increase participation, reduce racing congestion, promote youth and female involvement, and strengthen connections between cruising, racing, and power boating sections. More information will be provided over the coming weeks.
