There’s plenty coming up for the Power Section, starting with our City Lights Cruise this Saturday, followed by Memories & Milestones, a visit from our CYC friends for the Fremantle Heritage Walking Tour and a little inter-Section competition in November.

Here’s what’s happening over the next few weeks.

Our annual City Lights Cruise is on this Saturday 17 October!

We’ll all jump aboard the Club boat Success, where our highly skilled skippers will take care of the navigation while the rest of us sit back, relax and enjoy the city lights.

There are still a couple of places available, so get in touch if you’d like to grab one of the last spots. Tickets are $15 per person, and the Section will provide entertainment, nibbles and dinner. Just bring your own drinks!

The Club’s Memories & Milestones dinner is coming up on Friday 23 October from 6pm.

The Power Section has several tables booked for the evening, and there are still a few seats available on one of our tables if you’d like to join us.

On Saturday 24 October, we’ll be welcoming the CYC Power Section to FSC.

Because it was so popular last time, we’re doing another Fremantle Heritage Walking Tour, meeting at the Sailors Bar at 11am before heading into Freo to explore some of its historic sites, pubs and cafés, then returning to the Club for dinner.

Come along and help us give our CYC friends a great FSC welcome.

The tour is free to join, with food and drinks at your own cost.

We’re planning a little inter-Section competition on Sunday 1 November, with the Power Section taking on the Angling Section at Fremantle Lawn Bowls from 4pm to 6pm.

It’s $25 per person, including a burger dinner afterwards.

The Power Section Photo Competition is continuing, with members invited to send through their favourite photos from on and around the water.

To enter, simply email your favourite high-resolution Power Section or FSC-related photo to power@fsc.com.au with the subject line “Photo Comp Entry”.

Entries will be judged each month by members attending the next Power Section meeting. The winning photographer will receive a prize, and their image will be featured as the cover photo on the FSC Power Section Facebook page for the following month.

The competition runs every month, so keep your camera handy and start capturing those memorable boating moments!
