Friday Night Members Draw
It began as an idea to achieve three key outcomes for the Club:
- promote Friday night as a regular weekly social event
- involve local businesses with FSC as sponsors
- create a charitable outcome through member participation
The Duty Officers worked closely with Club administration to develop a sponsorship participation brochure in late 2024, with the aim of introducing the concept in early 2025. By January, the initiative was ready to launch with the support of the following sponsors:
- Acton Belle Fremantle
- Acton Belle Land
- Allclean
- Banovich Pharmacy
- Battery World O’Connor
- Champagne Ceilings
- Di Latte Estate
- Farmer Jacks
- Grip Factory
- Interlec WA
- Restorative Health Clinic
- Seacraft Paints
- Shelford Constructions
Some of these sponsors were already members, others subsequently became members, but all contributed to the fun and helped strengthen the Club’s Friday night atmosphere.
Starting at $500 and increasing by $50 each week if unclaimed, the prize pool grew steadily throughout the year. All FSC membership numbers were eligible to win, with draws conducted randomly using an approved computer program purchased by the Club. The maximum prize reached during the year was $1700, which was won on 27 June 2025. The winners for the year were:
- 27th June $1700 Wayne Hancock
- 31 October $1350 John Vlasich
- 5 December $ 700 Michael Jackson

It is pleasing to report that Friday nights became noticeably livelier, with some evenings putting welcome pressure on bar staff. Business engagement was strong, with most sponsors enjoying time at the Club, and the initiative also generated a significant charitable contribution totalling $12000. These funds were donated to the following charities, nominated by sponsors and approved by the Duty Officers and House Committee:
- St Patricks
- The Smith Family
- PCaHelp
- Cycling Without Age
- Ronald McDonald House
This excellent outcome was made possible through the support of our sponsors, Duty Officers, Club staff and, most importantly, you, the members of FSC.
All participating members can head into the festive season knowing that some of this year’s Friday night fun has helped make someone else’s Christmas a little brighter.
Here’s to the Member Draw in 2026, and a sincere thank you to the Friday night crew at FSC.
