Huck Scott Winter Series Returns This May
The Huck Scott Winter Series returns this May, bringing dinghy racing through the cooler months and celebrating one of the Club’s greats.
Malcolm “Huck” Scott grew up in Fremantle and, at just 20, competed in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics alongside Rolly Tasker, winning silver as part of Australia’s first Olympic sailing medal crew. Established in 1994, the annual Huck Scott Winter Series honours his lasting contribution to dinghy sailing in Western Australia.
Racing takes place across four Saturdays from May to August, with multiple races each day. With a mix of winter conditions, it’s a great way to stay sharp on the water.
Race Days: 16 May | 27 June | 25 July | 22 August
First warning signal: 10am each day
Join us on the water, then back at the Club for post-race presentations and a well-earned warm-up.
Not a dinghy sailor but keen to be part of the action? Volunteering on the water is a great way to get close to the racing. Contact the Dinghy Captain at dinghy@fsc.com.au to get involved.
