Hi all – while many folks headed out of Perth for the Easter hols several of
our FSC and WA sailors where completing inter-state and overseas.

Next up in Europe competing at the 2022 EurILCA U21 Europeans Stefan

of training in Australia it was great to be competing in Europe.
Michael and Stefan are in Hyeres for the Senior fleet regatta along with
several of our Freo sailors getting their first experience in Olympic regattas.
(Harry, Jack, Caelin, Chris, Amelia to name a few along with our roving
reporter (Mikael!)
We will keep you posted on their progress over this coming week.
Check out Chris and Amelia’s day zero chat with Mikael on our FSC https://www.facebook.com/freosailingclub/
Remember this Saturday is the last Championship race for the summer season!!!
Weekly schedule – note our days are short and with it we lose an hour light so get to training promptly!
Set up quickly so coaches can get you out on the water and maximise time out there before the light fades.
Coaches will aim to wrap up by 7pm
Winter training schedule – for May we are aiming to maintain this training schedule – this does depend on weekly attendance. So if you would like to continue training over the winter please make the training time, if we put on coaches and you decide last minute not to come it makes it hard for the club to maintain the program.
Key Dates!!!
21st May – Dinghy Section End of Summer Season Party – Check out link
Contact the Dinghy Section Committee members for information and if you are able to help with support.
28th May – Huck Scott Race 1 – Check out all the website for NOR, Registration and Volunteer Information

Wind foiling at FSC
Our Wind foiling page is up here – more information will be added at this point we have our new boards coming over from the East coast and waiting for delivery of the sail package over. There is a global shortage of the equipment which has slowed our progress but we hope to get things moving mid to late in May
Dinghy Committee
The Dinghy Committee is keen to see and share photographs of dinghy training and racing and have set up a link to share details below:-
a. The photos should have sufficient text to identify sailors and activity, i.e. Here is Ben Nevis rigging his Optimist for the coaching session on 25 Jan 2020.
b. photos will culled/ archived by the Dinghy Committee every six months. In addition good photos will be used in the bi-annual production of the FSC Blue Water Bulletin, used internally and externally to the club.
Please share your good photos
The Google Doc link is here
All that is required is for you to have a Google email
Our Dinghy Committee is made up of volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the Club’s Dinghy Section runs smoothly.
We have developed an Organisation Chart to ensure that our sailors and their parents are aware of who our committee members are, and what their roles entail.
