Established in 1949 through the amalgamation of the Fremantle Junior Sailing Club and Fremantle Sailing Club, our section has a proud history of fostering sailing skills and competitive spirit. We currently sail the following classes.

The Dinghy Racing Section is a team effort where families can enjoy time on the water together, participating in racing

and volunteering. Racing is a great way to get involved and enjoy friendly, competitive racing and the company of sailors, parents
and volunteers who share a passion for dinghy racing.

Love time on the water but racing is not your thing? The best place to watch the sailing action is from one of our support boats or the Start Boat as part of our Race Management Team. No special skills are required to be an on-water volunteer, just a love of spending time on the water.

For non-sailors, the Harbour wall is a great viewing platform and there are a number of volunteer roles onshore that ensure everyone has a great day racing.

The Summer Season commences in October and continues through until April. We race most Saturday afternoons over the summer. The main regatta of the Summer Season is Sail Freo in October.

Over winter, we race the Huck Scott Winter Series. A round is held each month between May and August.
